Spreading Holiday Cheer: Fun Classroom Activities for December

Welcome to the fifth day of Christmas with Focused on Fifth. Today I am linking up to bring you some fun classroom activities for the month of December.

One thing that I love to do each holiday is wrap up my favorite holiday books. I put them in the bookshelf and let my students decide which ones we unwrap and read each day. Some years we unwrap 2 or 3 a day, depending on how many I wrap and how many days there are between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I always make sure there is at least one for every student to unwrap. Kids of all grades love doing this and it ensures that I do plenty of reading aloud in the month of December.

To see a list of the themes for all 12 days, click on the blog button for Focused on Fifth. You will also find links to each day and directions for linking up with us.
